About Vital CKM

A clinical intelligence infrastructure company, not a single risk calculator

Vital CKM, Inc. is an independent digital health company building proprietary AI for cardiovascular, kidney, and metabolic risk prediction and forecasting — grounded in the founder’s published Stacking Generative AI research.

Our mission

We build the infrastructure that helps healthcare see risk earlier and act on it sooner — for patients, clinicians, and the population-health teams responsible for both.

  • Help clinicians identify high-risk patients across cardiovascular, diabetes, and kidney disease before deterioration
  • Give patients personalized, explainable risk insight across the connected CKM condition cluster
  • Reduce preventable hospitalizations and readmissions
  • Support population-health teams with scalable, governed risk stratification
  • Build one reusable platform that extends to new disease domains without rebuilding from scratch

What Vital CKM is — and isn’t

What Vital CKM isWhat Vital CKM is not
A reusable Clinical Intelligence Platform™ organized into Intelligence Suites, supporting multiple clinical applicationsA single heart-risk calculator
A decision-support and longitudinal analytics infrastructure layer, anchored by VCIE™An autonomous diagnostic system
A platform designed for providers, payers, researchers, and patientsA consumer wellness app only
An explainable, continuously monitored predictive systemA black-box model sold on accuracy alone
An integration partner for EHRs, devices, and digital-health ecosystemsA replacement for physicians or health-system workflows
How it fits together

VCIE™, the Platform, and our product family

VCIE™

The Vital Clinical Intelligence Engine — the core predictive technology underlying every product in the portfolio.

The VitalCKM Platform™

The enterprise infrastructure layer, organized into five Intelligence Suites covering cardiovascular, kidney, and metabolic risk today — extensible to future disease domains without rebuilding.

AICardioHealth by VitalCKM

Our first deployed product: a specialized US cardiovascular-risk application, and the platform’s proof point for validated performance.

Leadership

Built at the intersection of AI research and cardiology

VitalCKM is led by its founder, with ongoing clinical guidance from cardiology leadership to keep every model grounded in real practice.

HN
Founder & CEO

Howard Nguyen, PhD

Howard founded Vital CKM to close the gap between predictive AI research and the way clinicians actually make decisions. He is the architect of VCIE™, the Vital Clinical Intelligence Engine that powers every VitalCKM product, and of the Stacking Generative AI modeling approach behind Cardio Screen — published in IEEE, 2025, and validated across nine independent clinical datasets ranging from 299 to 400,000 records.

His work sits at the intersection of machine learning, deep learning, and generative modeling, applied specifically to predicting cardiovascular, kidney, and metabolic risk early enough to act on it. Howard leads VitalCKM’s product, research, and technical direction, and is responsible for the platform architecture underlying every product in the portfolio.

Guided by cardiology

VitalCKM’s models are developed with ongoing input from a cardiologist medical advisor and senior cardiology leadership, so every prediction is reviewed against real clinical practice — not statistical performance alone — before it reaches a patient or provider.

How we build

Platform design principles

Validation-first

We treat evidence, not feature velocity, as the way to earn clinical trust.

Human-supervised

Outputs support — and never replace — licensed clinical judgment.

Interoperable

Built on FHIR/HL7 standards to fit into existing EHR and care workflows, not around them.
